How we invested in building positive relationships with the press to build awareness of AUMA Actuators Limited in the water industry.

AUMA Actuators Limited is the UK subsidiary of the global AUMA Riester GmbH and Co KG, the world’s largest manufacturer of electric valve actuators with 2,800 employees in 30 locations.

AUMA has grown in the UK from holding a single framework in the water sector, to now working with all major water companies. Our ongoing media strategy is focused on a core of press with which we have established mutually supportive relationships. This has resulted in regular, positive press coverage for AUMA, its solutions and application case studies. 

The relationship is two-way, with AUMA supporting titles with digital and print advertising, as well as social posts. It's this mixed approach that has seen the company's visibility increase within the sector, in parallel with its growth. We have entertained editors with visits to AUMA's head office near Bristol, whilst creating a regular flow of news releases and informed content that resonates with our target press. What we've discovered is that many journalists rarely get out of the office (or home office), so they'll bite your arm off for an old school meeting in person!
